Hi everyone! I have a question: I’m going to translate some PDF documents into German and I’ve heard that Translate.com can help with that. But I don’t know how high quality translation there is, especially when it comes to technical texts. Does anyone have experience using this service for PDF translations? Is it worth using it at all, or is it better to turn to professionals? It would be great to hear opinions!

I recently used Translate to translate a PDF document, and I can share my experience. In general, the service is pretty user-friendly and gets the job done quickly, but there are a few nuances to keep in mind. For example, if you have a technical text like mine, you need to be careful. In such cases, the automatic translation may not pick up on specific terminology and context, which can lead to misunderstandings. I noticed that some terms were not translated correctly and I had to manually correct the text to make it sound natural and correct in German. It’s also important to remember that formatting can suffer a bit. For example, tables and graphs may not display correctly after translation. If your document contains a lot of such elements, you may have to spend time restoring them. On the other hand, if you don’t have too complex text, Translate.com can save a lot of time. I would recommend giving it a try, especially if you have the ability to check the translation for errors or inaccuracies. Also, you can use such a service for initial translation in the future and then refine the details by contacting professionals. All in all, this is a good option for fast and inexpensive translation, but don’t forget about its limitations!

Thanks for your views. I too have been thinking about Translate.com for PDF translation. I wonder how the service handles fiction or more creative texts. If anyone has tried translating something like this, please share your impressions.
